Hello,
I'm Véronique
I am Veronique, a psychologist with over 16 years of experience in counselling, therapy and psychotherapy. I work with children, adolescents, men and women dealing with a diverse range of emotional and psychological issues. These issues include anxiety, depression, post-natal depression, stress, trauma recovery, relationship issues, neurodiversity, gender-related issues, living with a disability and substance abuse.
I am proficient in French as well as English. I have worked in various settings, including rural, multicultural cities, mining towns and overseas. With my French background and years spent living in the Caribbean and in Australia, I have had the rewarding experience of working transculturally and have come to realise the adversity Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, refugee, and migrant families can face.
Experience
Throughout my career, I have supported young people and their families with a range of parenting and behavioural challenges. I have worked within government school settings as a Guidance Officer across both primary and secondary levels, where my role included psychological assessment, counselling, parenting support, and crisis intervention. In addition to my work in schools, I have experience in private practice, providing tailored support to individuals and families. Having worked across diverse environments—including rural communities, multicultural cities, mining towns, and overseas—I have developed strong cross-cultural awareness and adaptability.
These experiences have deepened my understanding of the unique adversities faced by all types of people and continue to inform my compassionate, culturally responsive approach at Greenvale Psychology.

Approach and Philosophy
Drawing from my French heritage, I bring a warm, engaging approach to therapy, often incorporating humour and metaphor to help clients feel at ease and understood. I view therapy as both a science and an art, and see the therapeutic space as a privileged environment where individuals can safely explore and express their deepest thoughts and emotions.
My practice is integrative and tailored to each client, drawing on evidence-based approaches including mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), positive psychology, narrative therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic therapy and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). This flexible approach allows me to support clients in a way that is both compassionate and effective, meeting them where they are in their journey.

Things that bring me joy: My horse, time with animals, time with friends, time in nature, dancing, music
What matters to me: justice, fair treatment, advocacy for the vulnerable, helping others
